JevGrep combines semantic retrieval with a command-line interface and an MCP server. Results include source excerpts and precise locations, so an agent can follow the evidence back to the original file.
The tool supports configurable embedding providers and explicit search scopes. It is distributed as an npm package, with implementation and usage examples in the repository.

This is a developer tool for code discovery. Retrieval results still need to be checked against the source; no universal speed or accuracy improvement is claimed.
